Anna Reutinger, Sandberg
Workinwatugot is a series of objects that tempt the visitor to perform, as an investigation of our divided attention between our physical selves and the personas we create within the internet condition.
Though the interactions may be familiar—rolling a cigarette, taking a selfie, drinking and dancing—these objects aim to disorient the visitor, blurring the distinction between subject and object.

Anna Reutinger b. Oakland, CA lives and works in Amsterdam. She holds a B.A. in Design Media Arts and Digital Humanities from University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.F.A. in Dirty Art at the Sandberg Instituut. Reutinger’s work investigates our changing relationship to material within the internet condition, with special attention to craft, self performance, and the bodily effects of technology. Her practice is guided by her theory of the volatility of objects, or the idea that within the internet condition, material has been afforded new opportunities to live in an ever-changing state—allowing for the disruption of power structures, creation of micro economies and empowerment of individuals. Her work has been exhibited at W139, Amsterdam; Ram Foundation, Rotterdam; De Fabriek, Eindhoven; Macao, Milan; The Hammer Museum, The Getty Center, The New Wight Gallery, Chin’s Push and Control Room, Los Angeles.
