A Confession (2011), a short film by Malthe Stigaard

I am a social tourist. My attraction is people. I spy on them unveiling social interactions in public space. I zoom in on individuals as well as groups, analyzing their surface to dig out the contents underneath. I enter their privacy and I record what I find with my camera and expose these recordings to the viewer, giving away to the most intimate secrets. I discover individual secrets and through comparison as well collective secrets. This unveiling questions how we live our lives socially in a contemporary Western society.
